Viva Las Vegas pt. 3
Definitely the best experience was getting to see Penn & Teller live on the big stage. The tickets were like $80 but completely worth it. Before the show began, a band was playing on stage and actually Penn was playing with them too. They enouraged people to come up on and sign their name on an envelope and check out a box on stage that was going to be used during the show. So got to be up on stage with Penn. Then later on Chuck got to be on stage with both of them! He was part of their act, I couldn't take any pictures of him on stage since cameras weren't allowed. But we got to meet them after the show, and they signed the prop that they used on Chuck. It's a white shroud, Chuck was converted to the Church of Teller lol. My camera is shitty for indoor pictures, I wanted a new one beforehand but ended up spending money on the stray kitty.

We want to go back to Vegas to see some of the things we didn't get to see, I am definitely going to see them again.

On one of the last days we were there we walked up the street to the Erotic Heritage Museum. It was very interesting and the admission is cheap compared to other things in Vegas.

Larry Flint's wheel chair

An Indian Deflowering tool from the 6th century

Not sure what porn star this is but it was giant!!!

A fertility statue

Masochism meets machinery

Some erotic art

This sculpture is made out of 100,000 pennies. That's a lot of found monies!

And finally here are some left over pictures of random statues we came across on the strip

We didn't get to see the famous fountain shows because we never got used to the time change until like 2 days before we were going to leave, and by that time we were beat and didn't feel like going all the way to the other end of the strip lol. The food was highly disappointing and overpriced. They lowered the price of the hotels but raised all the prices of the food. Even the cheapest buffet was still $13 a person. We stayed in budget except for when it came to the food, but we managed to win enough money here and there that it covered that extra expense. I did pretty good on the slot machines, I would win $50 or $100 here and there. We did go to a nice diner in the Stratosphere casino and hotel, it was a mock 1950s diner with very tasty burger and fries. The waitstaff sings and dances for you, there's a dj that plays the classics. That was a lot of fun. We ended up having a good time even though the heat was unbearable, and would like to go again during the winter lol. Surprisingly we ran in to a few people there that had heard of where we came from, one of the ladies that worked at the casino used to come up to watkins glen a lot. Then one of our cabbies actually went to school in Ithaca.

A few downsides of the trip were the extremely dirty city, the heat, and being solicited every 5 minutes. There is this business called Tahiti Village and they have booths set up all over the place, in the hotels, outside the hotels, and they try to get you to listen to a long sales pitch for time share. They offer people free tickets to sucker them in. I avoided them at every cost and just told them that we already did it lol.

When we got back spring was in full bloom here, all the trees had their leaves and our strawberry plant had it's first strawberry. Of course all hell had broken loose so the past week I've been busy trying to clean things up, surprisingly it wasn't at work at least, but it was for the theater group. When I left this one guy was going to put together a group to do some kind of performance at a Relay for Life event on the 30th. I guess he didn't realize that he was supposed to lead it, I told him he had creative control to do whatever he wanted. Then the President had been talking to other people about having them perform also, then left them all hanging. I don't know why he even butted in since he's not going to be here during the 30th. So the guy that was going to put a group together decided he didn't have enough time now to put something together because he never got a straight answer from the president. Now I'm busy running around trying to put together an improv group for it. Blah!

Yeah they are two awesome guys. If you ever go to vegas definitely see their show. That's the only way to see them since they stopped touring. The meet and sign autographs after the show.

Chuck wants to go to New Orleans next year, so we might plan on driving down south then over to New Orleans. Going to try and stop by and say howdy! :D
